Once you have the basics of poker down it’s time to focus on reading your opponents. A big part of this is picking up on subtle physical poker tells and other things like how they handle their chips. However, a more advanced skill is working out an opponent’s range of hands. This is done by going through the entire selection of hands that they could have and then figuring out how likely it is that they have a particular hand in their range.
